Sculpture Inspired by the Work of Zdzisław Beksiński
This sculpture is inspired by the work of the Polish artist Zdzisław Beksiński, who was born in 1929 in Sanok, Poland.
My interpretation of the sculpture refers to the Warsaw Uprising of 1944, when the capital of Poland, Warsaw, defended itself against Nazi German occupation. During the uprising, approximately 6,000 children and teenagers between the ages of 8 and 17 took part in the resistance and fought against Nazi Germany. As a result of the fighting and German war crimes, tens of thousands of children and infants lost their lives.
Through this work, I seek to commemorate the courage, sacrifice, and tragic fate of the youngest victims and participants of one of the most dramatic chapters in Polish history.
Unique collector's sculpture inspired by the works of Zdzisław Beksiński.
Perfect for admirers of dark, surreal art.
