The name derives from the fact that these paintings were sold (most often through art dealers and galleries) on the Japanese market, where they found numerous buyers and were highly valued.\n\n\nThe sculpture is based on a painting by Zdzisław Beksiński and aims to honor and revive the memory of this outstanding artist, who worked during the difficult times of communism and the post-communist period in Poland.
